Sales Coordinator-Used Rental Equipment (PRJ)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Used Rental Equipment Sales Coordinator at our rental services branch in Richland. We offer competitive compensation, rock solid benefits, and a legendary family work culture.

The Used Rental Equipment Sales Coordinator is accountable to provide inside sales, administrative, planning, and coordination support to Puckett Rents managers in the areas of sourcing, quoting, buying-selling/brokering/renting, inventory management, and other department-related support activities and tasks. This is an hourly position that reports to the Used Rental Equipment Manager.

Essential Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities:

• Receive and administer the intake of all used equipment-related inquiries and machine availability calls and walk-in traffic from internal and external customers.
• Coordinate and administer the lifecycle of UE and related attachment procurement, quotation (parts and labor), buying-selling-brokering, and rental of used equipment and maintain regular contact with internal sales leadership and designated internal customers throughout. Assist in establishing UE trade values. Therein, source/procure, advertise and market (through print and online channels) used equipment for sale and rental on the open market, coordinate and close related transactions.
• Schedule, coordinate, and review all UE repairs, used rental turnaround inspections, and reconditioning of trade-in equipment and maintain regular contact with the sales and service management throughout. Provide direction to same as to which repairs should be made to maximize marketability and cost efficiency. Prepare related reporting in accordance with all prescribed company policies, procedures, and metrics.
• Administer the day to day inventory management of the used equipment fleet (including attachments). Partner with the sales management team to actively monitor and analyze customer equipment demand and correspondingly prioritize the addition/transfer/removal of inventory units.
• Participate in meetings with the rental and branch management team to ensure that all parties are updated on work in progress, upcoming machine trade-ins, available inventory, and to update/maintain same in the management information system. Keep all stakeholders (sales, service, customer) regularly updated on the status of used equipment availability.
• Maintain responsibility for inside sales related to both Cat campaigns as well as internal sales campaigns. This includes creating lists of potential customers via UCC’s, Cat conquest data, Puckett past purchase history, and any other data source that would provide predictive purchasing insight.
• Travel to and/or with machine sales reps to customer job sites and other branches to inspect used equipment for trade and/or to coordinate service repairs to equipment (20-30% time).
