Job Requirements of Parts Counter Inside Sales-HBG:
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
•High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
•Minimum 4-6 years of combined work experience as a retail parts counter salesman and/or warehouse associate in a parts sales and service shop environment.
•Good technical knowledge of Caterpillar and allied heavy equipment (mechanical systems, diesel engines/engine failures, electrical and hydraulic systems).
•Ability to read and comprehend computer-based schematics, specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, safety manuals, and other related publications.
•Proficient verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
•Good problem solving skills, detail oriented, and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
•Good computer skills using related information system applications (ex: SIS, DBS).
•Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
•Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced service environment.
•Ability to work standard five-day work schedule, including daily overtime, and occasional weekend hours as necessary.

Parts Counter Inside Sales-HBG
Puckett Machinery Company is the Caterpillar® heavy equipment, rental services, and power systems dealer for central and southern Mississippi. As the industry leader in our territory with 15 locations, helping our customers succeed is our number one priority.
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Parts Counter Inside Sales Associate at our heavy equipment location in Hattiesburg. The Parts Counter/Inside Sales Associate is responsible to participate in the day to day execution of branch parts counter sales operations. The position reports to the Parts Manager.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
•Participate in all aspects of parts counter sales and customer service including but not limited to preparing quotes for parts and service, determining parts availability, posting and executing orders/returns/exchanges/backorders, cross selling and following up on leads, investigating and resolving customer issues and complaints.
•Inspect, determine reusability/residual value, and process customer’s core component returns for credit and shipment in accordance with prescribed re-manufacturer guidelines and company policy.
•Record and track parts-related lost customer sales opportunities to support better inventory management and more appropriate stocking levels.
•Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment.
•Maintain a professional and proper personal appearance at all times.
•Keep up to date with developments in parts, tooling, and systems.
