Job Requirements of Service Utility Technician-CRC:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•High school diploma or GED equivalent required plus minimum 1 to 2 years work experience as a mechanical technician or utility worker in an industrial or maintenance environment.
•Diesel engine, construction equipment and/or truck engine training and certifications through accredited technical schools or relevant military experience preferred.
•Basic mechanical systems knowledge of industrial equipment and components.
•Ability to safely use material handling equipment and tooling and wear company required PPE (protective eyewear, gloves, harnesses, footwear) during a shift assignment that could last between 8 and 10 hours.

Service Utility Technician-CRC
Puckett Machinery Company is the Caterpillar® heavy equipment, rental services, and power systems dealer for central and southern Mississippi. As the industry leader in our territory with 15 locations, helping our customers succeed is our number one priority.
We are seeking entry level Service Utility Technicians for our heavy equipment component rebuild center at our state of the art dealership in Flowood. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
•Dismantle, clean/lubricate, and assist in the reassembly of Caterpillar engines and powertrain systems in accordance with all prescribed quality and safety standards. Test, measure, and adjust engine and mechanical system components. Use hand tools such as sockets and wrenches.
•Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance with manufacturer re-usability specifications.
•Organize, maintain, and clean assigned areas of the facility to ensure a safe and clean work environment and to comply with the company’s contamination control standards.
•Conduct basic daily preventive maintenance on a variety of facility equipment as directed.
•Maintain a professional and proper personal appearance at all times.
•Perform related duties as assigned.
